  • Grass Seed Machine Operator (2 openings) – Saint Paul, OR

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Production Manager.
    • Open and power up facilities, power up elevator legs, mixers and baggers.
    • Load and unload full and empty pallets from trucks. Stack / unstack fertilizer bags from pallets and vehicles. Strap and unstrap tarps and loads.
    • Arrange pallets in warehouse areas.
    • Bag on differing types of baggers.
    • Read and write numerical scale weights.
    • Apply stickers and insert labels in bags.
    • Scoop fertilizer using shovels and/or hands.
    • Clean bins after unloading as necessary to avoid contamination.
    • Maintain facilities and equipment in a clean and so they are in usable condition (oil & lubricate, sweep, remove, debris, etc.).
    • Report all damage/malfunctions to management. Communicate with management needed repairs and maintenance.
    • Operate a 2-way radio. Maintain contact with supervisor to receive instructions.
    • Approve finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; coordinating with production manager to return products for re-work; confirming re-work.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
    • At least 3 years of grass seed cleaning experience.
    • Must be able to read and understand instructions in English.
    • Ability to operate forklift and front loader.
    • Highschool diploma or GED

  • IT System Administrator – Aurora, OR

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Maintain, troubleshoot, and install all device related responsibilities including laptops, printers, desktops, cell phones, landline phone system, tablets, associated peripherals, software, and domain administration.

  • A CDL Heavy Truck Driver – Saint Paul, OR

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Drive truck to assigned destinations.
    • Ensure trucks promote a positive image of Marion Ag Service, Inc. by keeping the interiors and exteriors clean as conditions allow and practices courteous driving.
    • Maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with proper endorsements and commercial insurability at all times. Endorsements include Hazmat Materials, Doubles/Triples, Tanker and TWIC Card.
    • Valid DOT physical card required.
    • Oversee and/or participate in the loading and unloading of trucks. Cleans compartment after unloading as necessary to avoid contamination.
    • Prepare, organize, and maintain accurate delivery documentation and submit in a timely manner. This includes verifying quantity and product on load.
    • Coordinate efficient deliveries with dispatch by applying knowledge of customer schedules, peak delivery times and alternate routes.
    • Report all damage/malfunctions to management.
    • Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Make brake adjustments and other similar minor maintenance related activities
    • Perform a daily DOT pre-trip inspection according to checklist and keeps an accurate, legible and complete copy in the vehicle at all times.
    • Communicate with mechanic needed repairs and maintenance.
    • Maintain a daily, legible, and complete DOT log book according to State and Federal regulations and submits as required.
    • Accurately and legibly complete all Marion Ag Service required documents including but not limited to IFTA and Load Summary sheets.
    • Transport products locally or over the road according to manifest in a safe, responsible manner and in accordance with company procedures and applicable DOT regulations.
    • Immediately report all roadside inspections, accidents, and moving violations.
    • Perform all duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures to assure safe, effective and efficient transportation services.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
    • Typically requires 2 to 3 years of heavy truck driving experience along with related training.
    • A valid Class A CDL driver’s license with a HazMat endorsement is essential.
    • Ability to operate diesel powered tractor-trailer combinations.

    • QMS Specialist – Saint Paul, OR

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
      • Assess existing compliance management systems by conducting assessments and audits of personnel, process, infrastructure, performance management, and governance related to regulatory compliance.
      • Report to senior management regarding the impact of regulatory changes and verify/obtain all required licensing. Ensure that the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, (ISO 9001), and regulatory/legal compliance requirements.
      • Liaison with production for all quality-related matters and documenting all responsibilities to inspect production and in-process quality.
      • Liaison with other departments, customers and vendors for quality information and remedies for quality nonconformities.
      • Ensure evaluation of, and reporting on, vendor quality systems.
      • Audit the inspection (examination) of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet requirements.
      • Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the organization’s products.
      • Work with customers, employees, contractors, and outsourcing firms to develop product requirements.

      • Respond to internal and external information requests and influence positive change externally by representing Marion Ag Service, Inc to regulatory agencies, industry organizations, customers, and suppliers to drive outcomes favorable to the company.
      • Monitor impact of changes to organization, processes, infrastructure, policy, and regulations on regulatory compliance capability and facilitate responses as appropriate.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
      • Approximately five years’ work experience managing quality assurance, document control and safety activities and/or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
      • Requires strong computer skills including Microsoft Applications Word, Excel and PowerPoint and accounting systems
      • Demonstrated capacity to facilitate training, process development, and problem solving in a decentralized work environment
      • Position requires a strong tactical approach to the Regulatory position
      • Must have strong change management skills.
